Mission Statement
To provide a fun, safe community for adult online gaming enthusiasts.
Philosophy
Team Nimrod wants to provide and encourage a relaxed style of game play with an emphasis on the Xbox Live gaming service. We enjoy games of all genres, welcoming those who share a positive outlook on life, stressing the need or desire for our members to take part in community gaming when the limitations of daily life and the “real world” permit.

Clan Etiquette
Team Nimrod is a home for like-minded individuals.
Anyone is welcome to claim allegiance, or to play with us anytime. Ultimately, we are about having fun and meeting new people for casual game play.
Our name allows you to identify yourself within larger groups or other clans.
If one wishes to carry (or “represent”) another clan name, please do so. Some clans might take offense. Others might require regular playing and happenings in order to maintain membership. We do not wish these burdens on our friends. We don’t play near as much as we’d like, but such is life. Some gamers are able to play more than others, and thus may not fit in well with our gatherings or time frames.
Typically, one is not a member of multiple clans.
Certain gaming clans may take membership very seriously, much like a biker gang or fraternity. Game time for “continuing education” or adult gamers can be quite sparse. Team Nimrod wants our fellow gamers to enjoy their hard-earned time. If that means playing or “joining” other clans, please do so. The four founders of Team Nimrod wanted a haven for casual geezers and like-minded adult gamers… A place for you to connect, play, chat, and unwind.
Team Nimrod will officially accept anyone aged 18 and over.
We do understand that oftentimes maturity comes with age. However, there can be clear exceptions. So long as the gamer shares our laid-back outlook, and doesn’t mind “playing nice” with us, we’ll take them. We only have an age limit as a safety check, really. We’re more concerned about dealing with “M” rated games and content, and don’t want to be flamed by anyone for supporting “minors” in gaming. The subject of age is of huge contention and consequence for groups like ours. Understandably so, when there are thousands of morons and assholes playing on Xbox Live.
Team Nimrod does not prohibit the use of names online, but does frown upon one using someone else’s name without permission.
If a player wishes to identify him/herself, they are welcome to do so. If one is familiar with the name of another, please keep it to yourself unless you have expressed permission to use real names. Obviously, there will be slip-ups from time to time. No problems, just try no to squeak too frequently.
Using one’s name while in-game and posting it in a place like teamnimrod.net forums bear different weight.
A user might prefer to be called by their real name when on Xbox Live, but might not post their name in the forums. Team Nimrod does not find it to be improper to post one’s name, simply a matter of choice. Likewise, if a member / player wishes to be known by their real name or a nickname, Team Nimrod wants its members and colleagues to be respectful of that request, much like one would in proper society.
Cursing and Lewdness is generally not cool.
Team Nimrod openly encourages friendly smack-talk. An adult should know the difference between what’s appropriate and what isn’t. Flaming and bad-mouthing other players is never appropriate.
Team Nimrod does not tolerate cheating while playing with others.
What a user does while playing offline and / or single-player modes is their own business. Any form of cheating whilst an established member of Team Nimrod will not be tolerated.
Cheating is defined as follows:
Intentional violation or disregard for a game’s parameters with the intent of gaining a distinct, unfair advantage over other players or system / game functions. Deliberate violation of clan or service (such as Xbox Live) Terms of Service, Code of Conduct, or other such operating licensure. Intentional dishonesty and exploitation. Examples for games like Halo 2 would be spawn camping, passing a flag through a rock wall, “super bouncing”, or intentional friendly fire. Examples for a game like Forza Motorsport might be crashing into other cars, running people off the road, and driving with reckless intent.
Team Nimrod’s founders have the ultimate responsibility of protecting the veracity of our clan as a whole.
We may, from time to time, take action such as banning a member from continued clanship because of actions outside of Team Nimrod’s control. We expect our members to carry a particular respect for themselves and for others throughout their daily lives.

Sharing one’s identity either on teamnimrod.net or via services such as Xbox Live can be dangerous. Team Nimrod will never disclose or use a user’s real name, email address, or any other information without expressed consent of said user.
Unofficial Philosophy
Team Nimrod openly encourages our members to willingly accept last place, so that other gamers don’t have to. This should not be construed as a requirement to lose consistently. We wish for our members to demonstrate the ability to come in last place, and enjoy doing it.
Honor within the clan is earned by losing. Lots. If for any reason, a member of Team Nimrod shows a continued penchant for winning, that member shall be considered “in suspension” until such time as that member has redeemed his or her honor by losing in commensurate value to generate some unspecified amount of pity from other clan members to offset their previous success. Or, they can pay us $10.
A member in disrepute is still permitted to be a member of Team Nimrod. They will be allowed to take part in all clan activities. He or she must deal with the stigma of winning by his or her own accord. In other words, we’re all gonna laugh at you!
